When I was at the Austin Celtic Festival this past November, I had an enthusiastic repeat customer come up and suggest that I apply to be in the North Texas Irish Festival in Dallas, which is held at Fairpark. After some research, I applied, was accepted, and started the extensive preparation process for the show, which at 65,000 expected attendees, is the largest Irish festival in the Southwest and one of the largest in the country. One of my favorite activities at shows is customizing jewelry for my customers. It always surprises them when I take the time to make their necklace or bracelet the perfect length, or hammer up a ring so it's an exact fit. Making my customers happy and getting to meet and talk to them and hear stories of their Celtic adventures is one of the best things about having this business. I even had some adorable non-human customers, too, that might inspire a line of custom stamped dog tags! So along with my incredibly supportive husband and several amazing friends, the festival was a success and I can't wait to do it again next year.
