Working with Materials You Love

Working with Materials You Love

From the very first trip to Ireland when I saw Connemara Marble in a little shop outside of Doolin to now, when I work with it in my studio almost every day, I still love this beautiful treasure of a stone from Ireland. I still have the simple beads strung on a wire that I bought way back then and my affection for that piece is still strong to this day. The Rainy Irish Day Collection has been one I've made from almost the beginning of my business. Being a lover of rain and the soft gentle mist that is so often falling  on the Emerald Isle, I wanted to name these teardrops after that poetic experience. These new additions are a smaller version than the one that I made almost ten years ago. Though these are one of my most popular, there are many other pieces that I make with this ancient, beautiful Irish marble.
